Through
our campus in Monroe, your
Louisiana Baptist Children's Home seeks to grow
children God's way.
The
Home's mission is to build confidence and self-respect
in each child's mind and heart and replace the
uncertainty and fear with a smile and laughter,
endeavoring to restore a child's faith in himself,
faith in others and faith in God.
Attention
is given to the growth of each child physically,
mentally, emotionally and spiritually. A well-balanced
program of work, play, study and discipline is
seasoned with love and prayerful concern. An emphasis
is placed on a vital, personal faith in Christ
through regular church attendance, house devotions
and personal Bible study.
Louisiana Baptist Children's Home support staff
provides dietetic, medical, specialized training
and administrative skills. The cottage parents
and staff seek to protect, nurture and restore
children and families through Christ-centered
service.
Since
1899, children have found a place of refuge at
your Children's Home.
Through the continued support of the many Louisiana
Baptists and other friends of children, the Home
will continue serving hurting children and their
families for as long as there is a need.
Referrals
are as simple as a phone call. The Children's
Home learns of children in need of care through
concerned adults. Applications for admission are
sent upon request. |

| On
campus, children live in ten "family-style"
cottages with as many as twelve children living
in each cottage. Children at the Home range
in age from kindergarten to 12th grade. Cottages
are directed by a Christian couple who serve
as cottage parents. Cottage parents provide
understanding and guidance. |
