PERRY HANCOCK

PERRY HANCOCK

President and CEO

Dr. Hancock has been serving as President & CEO of the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home & Family Ministries since 2003. He completed a bachelors degree from Louisiana College and Master of Religious Education and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the Children's Home, Dr. Hancock served as pastor of several Louisiana churches. He also served as a faculty member and Dean of the Graduate Faculty at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Hancock loves children!

Tonya Hancock

Tonya Hancock

Tonya serves as a representative for the Children’s Home, speaking to churches, women’s groups, and civic organizations. In 2009, as a volunteer, she founded the Women’s Learning Center which provides educational, career, and spiritual support for women in need. Tonya also serves as a speaker for Compassion4Kids, an LBCHFM ministry to economically-challenged children. In late 2023, Tonya will release a resource for churches wishing to create a single moms community program.

JONANN BYARGEON

DIRECTOR OF FAMILY CARE MINISTRIES

Jonann joined the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries staff in 2014, serving in various positions in the Women’s Learning Center. She currently serves as Director of Family Care Ministries (HomePlace). HomePlace provides transitional living for homeless children and their mothers. She has served in multiple areas of ministry within the local church. Jonann’s passion is sharing the stories of the Bible with women and investing in their lives. She is a graduate of Louisiana College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work.

ALISHA CLARK

ALISHA CLARK

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE WOMENS LEARNING CENTER

Alisha joined the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries staff in May 2022. She serves as Executive Director of the Women’s Learning Center. She is a pastor’s wife, having served in various leadership roles in the local church. She has a nursing degree from the University of Louisiana Monroe, having worked in PICU, NICU, and home health. She has also taught middle and high school math and science. Alisha’s goal for the Women’s Learning Center is that every woman will know the hope and salvation in Christ, find purpose and value in Him, and discover paths through education and job-ready certification to careers that will provide a better future for her and her family.

Matt Coker

Matt Coker

Assoc. Director of Public Relations & Development

Matt has been serving as the Associate Director of Public Relations and Development at the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home since October 1, 2023. He completed a bachelor’s degree at Louisiana Tech University in Family Science and earned a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the Children’s Home, Matt served as a student minister and pastor.

KATHY EICHELBERGER

KATHY EICHELBERGER

Director of Granberry Counseling Centers

Dr. Eichelberger has been serving as Director of Granberry Counseling Centers since July 2009. Kathy was a pastor’s wife for over 25 years and served in many leadership roles in the local church. She is a licensed professional counselor and has a passion to help people who are hurting and going through difficult life circumstances. God has called Kathy to minister to people through counseling and to encourage them to develop a deep, intimate relationship with Christ. Kathy completed a Bachelor’s degree, a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

CHRISTY GOODWIN

CHRISTY GOODWIN

Foster Care and Adoption Specialist

Christy joined the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home & Family Ministries staff in 2019 as a Foster Care & Adoption Specialist for the Shreveport region. Christy received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Louisiana Tech University and a Master of Social Work degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. A native to Shreveport, Christy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in medical social work, school social work, and private adoption. She and her family also had the opportunity to serve as foster parents in Orleans Parish in 2017-18 while her husband attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Christy works to recruit new foster families, support existing foster families, and partner with local churches and community partners to meet the needs of children in foster care. Christy is passionate about individuals, families, churches, and organizations working together to respond to the current foster care crisis.

DIRECTOR OF CAMPUS LIFE AND EDUCATION SERVICES

Matt has served at Louisiana Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries since 2005. His duties include planning campus activities and events, coordinating educational programs, and helping teens who age out of foster care to transition into adult life. A graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Matt has previously served on church staffs as a youth pastor, worship pastor, evangelism teacher, and musician.

SUSAN NOLAN

SUSAN NOLAN

Executive Director of Child and Family Services

Susan joined the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries staff in 2012 as the Executive Director of Child and Family Services. Susan provides oversight for Child and Family Services operations and licensing compliance. Before coming to the Children's Home, Susan served nine years with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, primarily in the areas of family services and development, and training and support of foster and adoptive homes. Susan completed a bachelors degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Master of Social Work degree from Grambling State University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker.
