HomePlace is a transitional living program that offers compassionate care to women and their children who are homeless due to difficult life circumstances. The goal of HomePlace is to help families obtain the skills needed to move from dependence and despair to a future of self-sufficiency and hope through Christ.
While the mother works toward setting and achieving goals with the guidance of dedicated and supportive staff, she lives in a safe residential setting with her children. The program is designed to accommodate women age 18 and older, with children age 12 and under, for up to one year at no cost.
Our family care team works to ensure emotional stability. Mothers are provided job and life skills training, parenting and nutrition classes, professional Christian counseling, Christian mentoring, Bible study and discipleship. A Christian Women’s Job Corps program is available on campus to assist mothers with certified HiSET preparation and testing. Families are connected to local churches. Support is provided during transition to independent living.
“A father to the fatherless and a champion of widows is God in His holy dwelling.” Psalm 68:5
