Dr. Hancock has been serving as President & CEO of the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home & Family Ministries since 2003. He completed a Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana College and Master of Religious Education and Ph.D. degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the Children’s Home, Dr. Hancock served as pastor of several Louisiana churches. He also served as a faculty member and Dean of the Graduate Faculty at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Hancock loves children!
Christian Women's Job Corps of Monroe Site Coordinator
Tonya Hancock has been serving as a Louisiana Baptist Children's Home & Family Ministries volunteer since 2003, making presentations to women's groups and civic organizations. Tonya is a missions education training specialist for the Louisiana Baptist Convention, leading conferences for the Women's Ministry Division that prepare church leaders for service as missions coordinators and teachers. She also leads women's ministry conferences in churches throughout Louisiana. Tonya currently serves as Site Coordinator for the Christian Women's Job Corps of Monroe. This LBCHFM ministry trains women in need to develop their God-given talents and skills for employment and successful living.
Vice President of Development and Public Relations
Marc has been serving as Vice President of Development and Public Relations for the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home & Family Ministries since October 2008. He completed a Bachelor’s degree from William Carey University and a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the Children’s Home, Marc served as a pastor for over 25 years. He also served as Director of Continuing Education and Conference Planning and Adjunct Faculty at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dr, Kathy Eichelberger
Director of Granberry Counceling Centers
Dr. Eichelberger has been serving as Director of Granberry Counseling Centers since July 2009. Kathy has been a pastor’s wife for over 25 years and served in many leadership roles in the local church. She is a licensed professional counselor and has a passion to help people who are hurting and going through difficult life circumstances. God has called Kathy to minister to people through counseling, while at the same time encouraging them to develop a deep intimate relationship with Christ. Kathy completed a Bachelor’s degree, a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a Doctor of Ministry degree in pastoral counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She is EMDR certified and a consultant.
Susan joined the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home & Family Ministries’ staff in January 2012 as Director of Family Care Ministries. She coordinates HomePlace, a transitional living ministry for homeless children and their mothers. Susan has worked in the non-profit arena and has many years of experience in business management, as well as teaching junior and senior high school students in school and Bible Study. She has worked in Women’s Ministry for over 20 years as a conference speaker and teacher and is also a certified Career and Anger Management Facilitator. Susan received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Northeast Louisiana University.
Susan joined the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home & Family Ministries’ staff in May 2012 as Executive Director of Child and Family Services. Susan provides oversight for Child and Family Services operations and licensing compliance. Before coming to LBCHFM, Susan served nine years with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, primarily in the areas of family services and development, and training and support of foster and adoptive homes. Susan completed a Bachelor’s degree from University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Master of Social Work degree from Grambling State University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker.
Director of Foster Care and Adoption Ministries
Margie joined the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home & Family Ministries’ staff in July 2017 as Director of Foster Care and Adoption Ministries. She received a Bachelor of Science degree and Dual Certification for Elementary Education and Special Education from Northeast Louisiana University. Margie was a public school educator for 14 years, served as the Early Childhood Network Director for the Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana, and has served as a youth minister for over 16 years. She is a Certified Parent Educator and was the Life Skills Coordinator for the Family Resource Center for Northeast Louisiana. Margie is Director for Royal Family Kids Camp for Northeast Louisiana, serving foster children ages 6-11 in a faith based, loving environment. Margie, her husband of 23 years, along with their two teenagers, served as a foster family for three years.
Margie recruits and supports foster families and assists pastors and churches in starting foster and adoptive ministries. Margie is available to speak at churches, organizations or conferences that are interested in learning about foster care and adoption ministries in Louisiana.
Marissa joined the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home & Family Ministries’ staff in August 2015 as the Foster Care and Adoption Specialist for the Baton Rouge area. Marissa works with churches and families to promote and expand foster care and adoption services in the Baton Rouge area and other parts of south Louisiana. Marissa completed her Master of Social Work degree at Louisiana State University. She has experience working with the Missouri Baptist Children's Home as a Youth Care Specialist for the Pregnancy Services Residential Program. Marissa received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Southwest Baptist University in Missouri. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker.
Kerri Byrd joined the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home & Family Ministries’ staff in January 2018 as the Foster Care and Adoption Specialist for the Shreveport area. Kerri works with local churches and other community partners to recruit new foster families, develop support for foster families, and create awareness about the needs of children and families who are involved in the child welfare system. Prior to joining LBCHFM, Kerri worked for the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services for 8½ years. She served as a foster care case manager, adoption specialist, and most recently as a Wendy's Wonderful Kids Adoption Recruiter for Shreveport and Monroe regions. Kerri is passionate about identifying resources and providing support for foster families and youth in foster care.
Kerri received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Kerri is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Kelli joined the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home & Family Ministries’ staff in November 2018 as the Foster Care and Adoption Specialist for the Alexandria area. Kerri is excited to build mutually beneficial relationships with churches in her area to strengthen the existing network of support for foster families as well as to help those interested in becoming foster parents. Prior to joining LBCHFM, Kelli worked for the Wraparound Agency in Alexandria and most recently as a hospice social worker. Kelli has been heavily involved in Women’s Ministry. She enjoys participating in youth activities at her church as well as leading a small group with her husband. Kelli is passionate about helping to facilitate nurturing homes and environments for children.
Kelli received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Northwestern State University. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Kelli has been practicing Social Work for over 10 years.
