PERRY HANCOCK

PERRY HANCOCK

President and CEO

Dr. Hancock has been serving as President & CEO of the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home & Family Ministries since 2003. He completed a bachelors degree from Louisiana College and Master of Religious Education and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the Children's Home, Dr. Hancock served as pastor of several Louisiana churches. He also served as a faculty member and Dean of the Graduate Faculty at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Hancock loves children!

MARC EICHELBERGER

MARC EICHELBERGER

Vice President of Development and Public Relations

Marc has been serving as Vice President of Development and Public Relations of the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries since 2008. He completed a bachelors degree from William Carey University and a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the Children's Home, Marc served as a pastor for over 25 years. He also served as Director of Continuing Education and Conference Planning and Adjunct Faculty at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

KATHY EICHELBERGER

KATHY EICHELBERGER

Director of Granberry Counseling Centers

Dr. Eichelberger has been serving as Director of Granberry Counseling Centers since 2009. Kathy was a pastors wife for over 25 years and served in many leadership roles in the local church. She is a licensed professional counselor and has a passion to help people who are hurting and going through difficult life circumstances. God has called Kathy to minister to people through counseling, while at the same time encouraging them to develop a deep, intimate relationship with Christ. Kathy completed a bachelors degree, a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in pastoral counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

DENNIS PHELPS

DENNIS PHELPS

Director of Church, Minister, and Alumni Relations

Dr. Phelps has been serving as Director of Church, Minister, and Alumni Relations since 2021. He is a graduate of Louisiana College (B.A.), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ph.D.). He has served in Louisiana, Texas, Minnesota, South Dakota, Kentucky, and Arkansas as an itinerant revivalist, staff evangelist, pastor, associate pastor, executive pastor, interim pastor, and seminary professor at several Baptist seminaries. Prior to joining the Children's Home, Dr. Phelps served as the J.D. Grey Professor of Preaching and Director of Church-Minister and Alumni Relations at NOBTS for 15 years.

SUSAN NOLAN

SUSAN NOLAN

Executive Director of Child and Family Services

Susan joined the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries staff in 2012 as the Executive Director of Child and Family Services. Susan provides oversight for Child and Family Services operations and licensing compliance. Before coming to the Children's Home, Susan served nine years with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, primarily in the areas of family services and development, and training and support of foster and adoptive homes. Susan completed a bachelors degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Master of Social Work degree from Grambling State University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker.

KERRI BYRD

Director of Connect 1 Child Foster Care and Adopti

Kerri joined the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries staff in 2018 as a Foster Care and Adoption Specialist for the Shreveport area. Kerri now serves as the Director of Connect 1 Child Foster Care and Adoption Services. Kerri works with local churches and other community partners to recruit new foster families, develop support for foster families, and create awareness of the needs of children and families who are involved in the child welfare system. Prior to joining the Children's Home, Kerri worked for the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services for 8 and a half years. She served as a foster care case manager, adoption specialist, and most recently as a Wendys Wonderful Kids Adoption Recruiter for Shreveport and Monroe regions. Kerri is passionate about identifying resources and providing support for foster families and youth in foster care. Kerri received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and earned her Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Kerri is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

CHRISTY GOODWIN

CHRISTY GOODWIN

Foster Care and Adoption Specialist

Christy joined the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home & Family Ministries staff in 2019 as a Foster Care & Adoption Specialist for the Shreveport region. Christy received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Louisiana Tech University and a Master of Social Work degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. A native to Shreveport, Christy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in medical social work, school social work, and private adoption. She and her family also had the opportunity to serve as foster parents in Orleans Parish in 2017-18 while her husband attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Christy works to recruit new foster families, support existing foster families, and partner with local churches and community partners to meet the needs of children in foster care. Christy is passionate about individuals, families, churches, and organizations working together to respond to the current foster care crisis.

KELLI ROBERTS

KELLI ROBERTS

Foster Care and Adoption Specialist

Kelli joined the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home & Family Ministries staff in 2018 as the Foster Care and Adoption Specialist for the Alexandria area. Kelli is excited to build mutually beneficial relationships with churches in her area to strengthen the existing network of support for foster families, as well as to help those interested in becoming foster parents. Prior to joining the Children's Home, Kelli worked for the Wraparound Agency in Alexandria and most recently as a hospice social worker. Kelli has been heavily involved in womens ministry. She enjoys participating in youth activities at her church, as well as leading a small group with her husband. Kelli is passionate about helping to facilitate nurturing homes and environments for children.

Kelli received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Northwestern State University. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
