I am writing to you just after our staff meeting on the Corona virus. We began our meeting by reading Philippians 4:6, 7. "Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Those verses include both a command and a promise. Here at the Children's Home we are going to turn to God in prayer and allow the Lord to guard our hearts and minds as we navigate through this crisis.
We are also going to do everything we can to reduce the risk to our children and staff in the weeks and months ahead. Until further notice, we are postponing campus tours and all ministry group activities with our churches. In addition, we are closing access to our guest apartments. These actions and others will greatly reduce potential exposure of our children to the virus.
For our staff, we are eliminating professional travel, with the exception ofvisits required by licensing. The travel restrictions will prevent our staff from coming to your church for LBCH presentations. Certainly, we will work with everyone to reschedule those presentations in the future.
As we all face this challenge together, I am reminded of another passage of Scripture: Isaiah 41:10. "Do not fear, for I am with you do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you I will help you I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand." In the midst of this storm, let's remember that we are held by the hand of God.
Thank you again for your continued prayers and support especially during this time. Please be assured that we are also praying for you. God bless.
