Children's Home Sunday Annual Offering

Download HomeNews - May and June 2025

In this edition of the Home News you will see pictures from our annual Children’s Celebration Banquet. The event is attended each year by our children, staff, school teachers, church members, trustees, and other special friends who have played an important role in the success of our children. The banquet is sponsored every year by the Judy Lynn Bailey Endowment Fund.

The theme of our banquet was “In His Image.” The Scripture verse was Ephesians 2:10. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Each child received a customized certificate that listed Christlike qualities cottage parents, family workers, and others have observed in their lives. I wish you could have seen their faces as they received such positive recognition.

We were also blessed by the ministry of Christian comedian, ventriloquist, and musician Taylor Mason. Taylor has a unique and powerful way of presenting God’s love and the message of the gospel.

The other exciting news at LBCH is the dedication and opening of our new Compassion Center. The 16,000 square-foot facility is a major expansion of our Compassion For Kids ministry which provides life essentials and a gospel witness for economically challenged families with children.

The Center serves those families in two ways. In Monroe, the ministry provides food and other items through a weekly distribution of products at the Center. We now have over 650 families registered for that program.

The second approach to meeting the needs of those families is through partnerships with other church-related compassion ministries. Eighty percent of the products donated to the Compassion Center will be forwarded to churches and other local Christian ministries throughout the state. Products will include diapers, new shoes, new clothes, household items, and more.

If your church has or would like to start a compassion ministry, please inquire about becoming one of our partners. The Compassion Center has the potential of reaching 25,000 to 50,000 children and others each year with God’s love in Christ.

God is truly changing lives every day through the ministries you support at the Children’s Home. Thank you so much for your incredible love and care which makes it all possible. When you have the opportunity, plan a visit to our campus in Monroe. We would love to give you a tour and thank you personally for the investment you are making at your Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home. God bless.
