As the leaves begin to turn and the air grows cool, our campus is filled with a deep sense of gratitude for God’s faithfulness, the generosity of His people, and the transforming power of His love that continues to change lives here at the Children’s Home.
We are especially thankful for our churches that participated in this year’s Fall Food Roundup. Once again, your generosity has overwhelmed us! Truckloads of canned goods, paper products, cleaning supplies, and pantry staples have poured in from every corner of our state. These gifts fill our shelves and sustain our ministries throughout the entire year. Because of your faithful giving, children and homeless mothers are fed, cared for, and loved every single day.
Every can of soup, every box of cereal, and every jar of peanut butter represents more than food—it represents hope. It means a child sits down to a warm meal surrounded by people who care. It means a mother doesn’t have to choose between paying rent or feeding her children. From all of us, thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus through your generosity in the Fall Food Roundup.
This fall, our hearts are also rejoicing as several of our residents have trusted Christ as their Savior! We have witnessed God’s Spirit moving in the lives of children, teens, and adults who have heard the gospel and responded in faith. There is no greater joy than seeing hearts transformed by God’s grace. Each story is a powerful reminder that your prayers, gifts, and support make an eternal difference. Thank you for helping create a place where the love of Christ is shared daily and lives are being changed forever.
As Thanksgiving approaches, our campus family looks forward to a special time of worship and fellowship. We will gather for our annual Thanksgiving worship service, lifting our hearts in praise for God’s abundant blessings and sharing testimonies of His goodness. Following the service, our cottages and families will come together for a traditional Thanksgiving meal, complete with turkey, dressing, and all the trimmings.
This annual celebration is far more than just a meal. It is a beautiful reminder of God’s provision. Scripture tells us that every good and perfect gift come from God. For many of our residents, this will be the first time in a long time that they enjoy Thanksgiving in a safe, loving home, surrounded by staff who love them in the Lord.
As we move through this season of thanksgiving, we are deeply aware that none of this ministry happens without you, our faithful friends, churches, and ministry partners. Your compassion sustains us, your prayers strengthen us, and your gifts allow us to continue providing love, care, and hope in Christ to those who need it most.
I do hope that you and your family enjoy a blessed Thanksgiving. From all of us at the Home, thank you again for meeting needs and changing lives. May God bless you richly for your faithful support.
