Foster Parent Orientation Meetings

Foster Parent Orientation Meetings

The Louisiana Baptist Children's Home has a partnership with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to provide Foster Parent Orientation Meetings for individuals or couples who are interested in learning more about the process of becoming foster parents. We offer monthly meetings to serve as your starting point for the fostering journey.

If you choose to proceed toward foster parent certification, the Foster Parent Orientation Meeting will serve as DCFS's required Orientation Meeting prior to beginning foster parent certification classes provided by DCFS.

You are not obligated to become certified to foster just by attending a Foster Parent Orientation Meeting. This is just an opportunity to receive information and ask questions

The schedule for monthly Foster Parent Orientation Meetings is listed HERE. The Connect 1 Child team also leads Foster Parent Orientation Meetings at churches upon request. If your church is interested in hosting a meeting, please contact the Connect 1 Child specialist in your region!

Your gift provides love, care, and hope in Christ for children and families in need. 74% of all funding comes from individuals and churches. We receive no state or federal funding for the care of children. All gifts are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.
